Conflict Management Series: Personal Reactions to Conflict

Conflict happens. Whether it's individuals clashing, organisational change or demanding customers, conflict is a normal part of working life. But it's something that people can find hard to handle and, if you don't manage it carefully, everyone can lose out: you, the organisation and your team. This course will identify why you should consider the importance of good judgement and how this can be achieved through balancing self, others and situation. You will examine different reactions to conflict including fight or flight and looks at the drawbacks of the fighter and avoider strategies and how they contribute to negative conflict.
